Amazon Payments

Amazon Payments allows you to add a savings/checking account to your Amazon account and, like with PayPal, you can send money to anyone at their phone number or e-mail address. The receiver must create an Amazon Payments account. There’s no cost for the service.

Amazon Payments was started in '06 by Amazon.com and supports the consumer base of its parent company. The aim is to ensure that customers receive the same checkout experience as they do on www.amazon.com. The site has a number of products on offer for consumers, developers and businesses. Also available is the ‘1-click’ option that is synonymous with Amazon. The site is similar in many ways to PayPal and Google Checkout insofar as it offer customers the ability to pay with the information stored on their accounts or they can enter new payment method during checkout.
