Clicksure

Clicksure offer similar products to ClickBank and are a direct competitor. In fact, they seem to be gradually taking many products away from ClickBank. It could be that they are more lenient in their product authorisation in terms of sales videos and upsells. ClickBank have made some significant changes to their policies of late and will no longer accept certain products that don’t meet their promotional criteria. So, that may be the reason some people have decided to move their product to Clicksure instead.

There are a few concerning reviews about people signing up for products on the network and not being able to gain access to these. There are also various links suggesting that a number of the products offered by Clicksure are scams. Particularly worrying though is that some of the reviews states that people who have purchased a product and then later ask for a refund find it nigh on impossible to get any money back. It seems also that a number of people have found that Clicksure’s customer service is less than acceptable.

BuyerZone

This is an online marketplace for buyers and sellers of business products and services. It connects active buyers with a network of local and national suppliers of several products and services categories.

BuyerZone connects buyers that are looking for specific products or services to multiple vendors that can meet their needs. Buyers enter details about themselves and the purchases that they intend to make, and BuyerZone then matches them to a set of participating vendors deemed the right fit for the customer. From there, the buyer and potential vendors can work out details of a deal, including everything from service levels to price.

Benefits for buyers include free price quotes, and the ability to easily shop for the best prices because they receive multiple bids from competing vendors.[3] In turn, vendors get a source for verified, ready-to-purchase leads.

Obopay Review

Obopay is an easy way to send and receive money using your cell phone via text messaging, WAP, or a mobile application. You can also opt to connect a prepaid Mastercard to your Obopay account. Obopay works with practically all cell phones.

Obopay requires a small fee when sending or adding cash to your account via a debit card or credit card. There's also a limit on the amount of money you can transfer.

Obopay claims to be the future of wallets. A sort of Paypal for cell phones, this relatively new Web service lets you send and receive money via your mobile phone. First, you sign up online, and then choose your Obopay access method: through text messaging, the WAP interface on your mobile browser, or the Obopay mobile application available only on certain phones and through certain providers. Since the majority of cell phones offer text messaging, Obopay can effectively work on all cell phones. Obopay also offers an optional prepaid Mastercard that is then tied to your account--a clever method of money management for teens (or even for yourself!) The service is free, not including a few service-related fees (that we'll address later). When you sign up, Obopay gives you a $5 bonus that's immediately accessible.

There are other ways to add money to your Obopay account. You can add money via a debit or credit card, but you'll be charged a 1.5% fee (based on the total amount of your transfer), or transfer money from a bank account, which is free. You can even arrange for your employer to deposit your paycheck directly into your Obopay account. Combined with the prepaid Mastercard option, this is an easy way to manage your finances. Obopay funds can also be transfered to a bank account, or withdrawn via ATM by using the prepaid Mastercard. There are, however, quite a number of restrictions on the amount of money you can move back and forth. If you use a debit or credit card to add money to your account, you can only transfer once a day, up to $300 per week. There's a $200-per-week transfer limit from your Obopay account balance to a bank account, and there's a $200 daily limit on ATM withdrawals. Also, you can spend at most $300 a day using the prepaid Mastercard.

CCNow

For small online retailers who either can’t easily obtain a merchant credit card account or only have occasional sales, CCNow has a lot to offer. Merchants outside the US can now sell in US dollars with no investment at all.

Obtaining a Merchant Credit Card Account can be a major hurdle for US small businesses and even more difficult for companies outside the US. An account typically costs several hundred dollars in application fees, and you are assessed monthly minimums whether or not any products are sold. To obtain a Merchant Account, businesses outside the US typically must set up a corporate presence in the US and pay US corporate taxes.

Enter CCNow. They handle the credit card transaction, and pay merchants the money they collect minus their 9% fee (8% in November and December) (As of April 2009 their rate is currently 4.99% plus 50 cents per transaction.). But CCNow is serious about staying on the right side of the law. They prohibit you from taking phone and fax orders and then filling out the online form on behalf of these customers. That is illegal, they tell you, and they’ll suspend your privileges if you do this.

Unlike some e-commerce systems, CCNow merchants need to have their own website. The product information is shown on the merchant’s website, but the “purchase now” links take your customer to the CCNow order system where the purchase is completed. Your website doesn’t need to provide SSL security, since the security is provided on CCNow’s secure order form.

With direct processing and instant payment notifications, excellent customer support and along with zero setup fees or monthly minimums, this service is second to none. Finally, with Skrill (Moneybookers) you can also top up your Skype, pay on eBay and use it in more than 70,000 online shops!

ClickBank

ClickBank allows affiliates to promote products in four different languages, a feature that is not provided by the majority of other ad network marketing companies. ClickBank accepts payments in 13 different currencies and allows affiliates to promote products in nearly every country throughout the world. ClickBank makes weekly or bi-weekly payments every Wednesday once an account has accumulated sales with more than five different credit card numbers (excluding PayPal).

Anyone can register. You’re not required to have a website or a track record before you’re accepted into the ClickBank network. Registration is easy, and this is why a lot of newbies go to ClickBank first.

Unlike most affiliate networks, there’s a real good chance that you will never get paid from ClickBank unless you’re making regular commissions via their network. Here are three reasons why.

1. You Need To Make At Least 5 Sales
You will never get paid if you make one or two sales. In fact, you need to make at least 5 sales (best case scenario) to actually get paid the first time.

According to ClickBank:

ClickBank will withhold payment of any account balance until the following criteria is met:
  • Sales made with 5 or more different credit card numbers; and,
  • Sales made with two different payment methods (either Visa, MasterCard, PayPal or European Direct Debit(ELV)). Note: PayPal purchases do not count toward the minimum 5 different credit card numbers.
This requirement is in place to help prevent Affiliates from abusing the ClickBank Affiliate program by using their accounts for the sole purpose of fraudulently collecting rebates and/or discounts on their own purchases.
Once you have met the Customer Distribution Requirement, your account will begin issuing payments normally, in accordance with our Accounting Policy, beginning on the next payment issuing date.

What this means is that a single sales doesn’t matter. 100 affiliate sales don’t matter either if everyone paid via their VISA credit cards or PayPal. Make sure you understand this requirement, as it closely relates to the next shocking fact you never knew about ClickBank.

2. There’s a “Dormant” Fee Up to $100 a Month
Yes, if you do not make any new commissions, ClickBank will penalize you for it. Deductions start at $1 per “Pay Period” which is every two weeks in ClickBank.

According to ClickBank:

Accounts with a positive balance but no earnings for an extended period of time are considered dormant. Dormant accounts are subject to a charge of $1 per pay period after 90 days of no earnings, $5 per pay period after 180 days of no earnings, and $50 per pay period after 365 days of no earnings.

3. You May Never Get Paid
If you decide to promote Clickbank products, you need to keep it going till you get past the minimum 5 sales requirement, and set your minimum payout as low as possible, to actually start getting paid. If you decide to “take a break” from ClickBank you may return a year later to find that your earnings have disappeared.

Verotel

Verotel is an international company with headquarters in Amsterdam and free worldwide sales support. The European Union awarded Verotel with official Payment Institute status, marking them as the first high-risk payment processor to receive a PSD license.

In addition to credit cards, Verotel merchants accepts online US checks, direct debit for European customers and predetermined flat fees that are charged to the customer’s phone bills (for US and European customers).

Merchants don’t need to get a merchant credit card account since Verotel handles the transactions. However, the cost is a significant chunk of your sale. Since digital content doesn’t take money out of your pocket for merchandise shipped, however, it doesn’t hurt as badly. The price for 900-number telephone billing ranges from 30% to 20% for $8.75 to $35 totals. Merchants are paid on twice a month on the 1st and 16th of the month.

In the US, merchants can receive a direct transfer to a bank account using ACH (free), or payment by a check ($2.50 charge). Merchants outside the US may receive payments by check (free), international wire ($12.50), or deposit into a US bank account (free). Subscriptions to the merchant’s online content are made via an online form on Verotel’s website which can be customized with the merchant’s logo. Merchants can select from various kinds of options for their subscribers. The Verotel Remote User Manager is part of the Subscription Management tools, which are included in your Verotel account. The Remote User Manager can be downloaded as a Perl or ASP (Microsoft Windows NT) script from the Verotel Control Center.

ProPay

ProPay is a payment company that provides services for merchants seeking processing capabilities for traditional business, ecommerce and mobile. They were founded in 1997 and headquartered in Lehi, Utah.

A ProPay merchant account processes credit and debit card payments. The merchant doesn’t require businesses to create a ProPay account to receive payments. Thus, sellers can receive money faster. The downside, however, of using ProPay is that it doesn’t have a uniform protection policy. Instead, the merchant is bound by the individual terms of protection policies provided by buyers’ credit and debit cards. Another difference between the two merchants is fees.

ProPay does charge fees. For example, the merchant charges an annual fee for using its service and per-transaction fees. The per-transaction fee may include a percentage as well as the fee. The annual fee, however, may include a refund if businesses process a certain dollar amount in approximately six months. The fee scale can be a sliding scale depending on the sites it’s used on.

Xoom.com

Xoom Corporation (Xoom.com) is an online money transfer company based in San Francisco. It provides consumer remittance services to the Philippines, India, Latin America, Europe, Australia, Canada, and South Africa.

You can pay Xoom by U.S. Bank Account, Paypal or a Credit card. If you send money directly from you U.S. savings or checking account, the charges are maximum $4.99 per transaction. The charges for Paypal or Credit card are more - ranging from $9.99 to $74.99 depending on how much money you send. The maximum amount of money you can send is $3000 (or $2999 to be precise) in one transaction.

You can track your money transaction using a tracking number you get after you give your money transfer order. The Xoom tracking does not show details about local processing at your home country. Recipients will be able to pick up the money in cash, have the money directly deposited into their bank account, or delivered to their door. This groundbreaking new service according to Xoom provides cash deliveries in six hours or less to a recipient’s home in different countries like the Philippines seven days a week, at no additional cost. Super fast delivery is also provided to most other provinces Monday through Saturday.

Open Cart Network
One of the features that separates Payvment from similar applications is its universal shopping cart, Open Cart Network, which allows shoppers to carry goods with them across thousands of Payvment-powered storefronts on Facebook.

Fan Incentive Pricing
To enable Fan Incentive Pricing, sellers that currently use Payvment activate the feature within their storefront settings. Paxum

Paxum is an increasingly popular e-wallet provider that hosts a variety of services to help you with your money. In order to accommodate its users, Paxum has a couple of different account types. They are the Paxum Personal Account and the Paxum Business Account.

The Paxum Personal Account is just what the name suggests – an account for regular individuals who want to be able to make safe money transactions online. It has a number of important features. Personal Account users are able to send money to everyone who has a Paxum account, receive payments straight to their e-wallet, load money into their account and withdraw their money in a couple of ways, including via check (which can take a couple of weeks) and with a direct wire transfer. There is even a Paxum Prepaid MasterCard, making it possible to spend Paxum dollars anywhere in the world that MasterCard is accepted.

The Paxum Business Account is tailored for doing business. It has several services which are aimed at helping businesses conduct their transactions. Granted, many of the services are the same as offered in the personal account – such as the ability to receive money, to load money, to send money and to withdraw money from the Paxum wallet into a regular bank account. However, a Business Account also grants users the ability to make mass payments all at once (important to any small or large business handling regular invoices), accept Paxum payments on the business’ website (crucial if you are selling things online and especially if you are hoping to boost sales through impulse buys) and maintain several accounts for your employees and co-workers.

There are fees. This seems like an unfortunate thing (mostly because it would be nice to have these services for no price) but the money is how Paxum stays in business and stays reliable. Luckily, the fees are reasonable. The MasterCard, for example, costs a simple $44.95 a year, for both account types. Receiving the card is free, along with activation.

Maintaining your general account costs nothing, though you may incur fees depending on how you want to load funds. For example, if you are a Personal Account holder and want to put money into your account via check, the fee is $5.00 USD. If you want to load the money through a direct wire transfer from your bank, you will pay $50.00. While Paxum allows people from all over the world to set up an account, those the company deems "risky" – such as people residing in countries with sanctions in place, like Cuba and Libya – will face additional limits that other users do not need to cope with.

Proof of identity and location is required.

PayQuicker

As many of you know, the minimum thresholds, frequency of payments, and payment type made by affiliate networks can either attract or deter new publishers (affiliates). So it is safe to say that payment methods are an important aspect when choosing which networks to join and which to stay away from. They include direct deposit (ACH domestically), wire transfers (usually internationally), paper check, or in some cases, PayPal. There are positives and negatives, like anything else, concerning all these methods of payment. This brings up the important question, which method is better for the network (the payer), and which is better for the affiliate (the payee)?

PayQuicker can effectively lower networks’ thresholds while giving affiliates a faster way to receive money. This is possible through their one of kind free and global member to member service where funds transfer instantly. They combine this feature with that of competitively priced traditional banking methods to make a truly unique system. A pre-paid debit card is also available for those who want to use it. PayQuicker is completely free to join and has partnered with both domestic and international banks backed by the best security in the industry. Member accounts are FDIC insured up to $250,000. PayQuicker is PCI compliant and uses a “good funds” model to protect its clients. Located in Rochester, New York, PayQuicker has set the industry standard for online payments.

iKobo

iKobo money transfer is unique - customers use the iKobo Visa Prepaid Card to transfer money around the world. The recipient is then shipped the card with the funds on the card.

It's an easy to use system and you can send funds to more than one card at the same time. iKobo is licensed by the TRUSTe Privacy Program which means they are in line with secure guidelines.

Downsides? Well this service is only available to US customers which limits the customer base. There are also numerous fees (such as the Monthly Maintenance Fee) and you can only make transfers using a MasterCard or Visa credit card.
